Draft. This hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before CLIPR launches on mainnet.

This explains what [CLIPR's legal entity] ("CLIPR") collects when you use the CLIPR website, why, and who it's shared with. CLIPR collects as little as it can: there are no accounts with emails or passwords, no ads and no tracking or analytics cookies.

1. What CLIPR collects

  • Your wallet address, when you sign in by signing a message with your wallet. It identifies you on CLIPR and is where payouts go.
  • Coins you launch: name, ticker, image, description and links you enter.
  • Clips you submit: the video link, and public information about it and the posting account from TikTok, Instagram or YouTube (username, profile link, bio, view counts, thumbnail, posting date). CLIPR checks the bio for your CLIPR code to confirm the account is yours.
  • Activity on CLIPR: reviews, earnings and payouts, so they can be calculated and shown to you.
  • Technical data: your IP address is used in memory to limit abuse (rate limits) and isn't stored by CLIPR; its hosting provider's logs may keep it briefly. A single cookie keeps you signed in.

2. What's public

Blockchains are public. Coins you launch, their fee splits, trades, and every payout to your wallet are visible to anyone, forever, and can be linked to your wallet address. Coin details are also published on IPFS. CLIPR shows coins, clips, leaderboards and earnings by wallet address and the posting account's username. None of this can be deleted, by you or by CLIPR.

3. How CLIPR uses it

  • To run the Service: launches, clip reviews, view counts, earnings and payouts.
  • To keep it safe: preventing fraud, fake views and abuse, and enforcing the Terms.
  • To meet legal obligations.

CLIPR doesn't sell your information or use it for advertising.

4. Who it's shared with

Only service providers that run parts of CLIPR, for that purpose:

  • Hosting and database (Railway).
  • Solana network access (Helius), which sees the transactions CLIPR reads and sends.
  • Social data (ScrapeCreators, and Google's YouTube API), which look up the public videos and accounts you submit.
  • IPFS pinning (Pinata), for coin details.
  • CLIPR's own operator alerts (Discord), which can include wallet addresses and coin tickers.

And where the law requires it, or to protect CLIPR's users or rights. [Counsel to review.]

5. How long it's kept

While you use CLIPR, and afterwards as long as needed for records, safety and legal reasons. [Counsel to set retention periods.] Sign-in sessions expire after 7 days. On-chain and IPFS data is permanent.

6. Your choices and rights

You can stop using CLIPR at any time, and remove your CLIPR code from your bio. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete information CLIPR holds about you; ask at the address below. Public blockchain and IPFS data can't be changed or deleted. [Counsel to add region-specific rights, e.g. GDPR, CCPA.]

7. Security

CLIPR never sees your wallet's keys. Sign-in tokens are stored only as hashes, and access to CLIPR's systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure.

8. Children

CLIPR is for adults (18+) only and doesn't knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
